“2019 China Cosmetics Development Conference”, China First Professional Conference Focusing on Cosmetics Policies and Regulations, Successfully Concluded
With the strong support from National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the “2019 China Cosmetics Development Conference” (CCDC) was successfully held in Beijing on May 27th to 29th, 2019, jointly hosted by China Health Care Association (CHCA) and China Health Media Group (CHMG), organized by Cosmetics Committee of China Health Care Association (CACHCA) and China Health Media Group Tianhe Exhibition Co., Ltd. More than 250 people from over 150 China domestic and foreign government agencies, industry associations, enterprises and institutions, attended the conference.
The conference provided a platform for regulatory exchange. 17 Chinese domestic agencies including NMPA, SAMR, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), General Administration of Customs (GACC) and Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), introduced the development of regulations and technologies related to cosmetics at the meeting; Experts and representatives from 14 foreign government authorities, international organizations, and industry associations also elaborated on the cosmetics policies and regulations of relevant countries around the world. As the first professional conference focusing on cosmetics policies and regulations, CCDC has received a very good response in the industry, received high praise from all participants, opened up the first international conference in the field of exchange of cosmetics regulations in China and played a positive role in promoting the development of the cosmetics industry.
At the closed-door meeting on May 29th, Yan Jiangying, the Deputy Director of NMPA, carefully listened to everyone's suggestions for the next step of legislation and communicated and exchanged with everyone in a sincere and open manner. According to the focus of the industry, she clarified the government's regulatory ideas from a problem-oriented perspective, showing a deep understanding of the industry and a deep concern for its development.
The Cosmetics Regulatory Technical Committee of Healthy China Research Institute established at the conference, aims to promote the construction of regulatory system in cosmetics industry, enrich legislative participation channels, guide enterprises to carry out compliant production and operation, technological innovation and breakthroughs under the guidance of regulations and jointly promote the development of China's cosmetics industry towards standardization, scale and internationalization.
